Sunday

Mom has spent a quiet afternoon. She wanted to go outside so we took her out in her rolling recliner. Her eyes have been mostly closed, but open just a slit and she has had a smile on her face most of the afternoon. She is definitely not as responsive as yesterday.
Kathy and I asked the nurse to check on Mom and her pulse was 69/54. Her heart rate is compensating for the low blood pressure, beating 120 beats per minute. The nurse gave Mom a big hug and Mom smiled up at her with happy eyes.

The nurse said that it is getting really close for Mom.

Mom is being comforted by the hymns that are playing in her room and nods her head in time to the music.

  1. Praying for all of you in this. It is a very hard time, but what a joy to know that she knows exactly where she is going and that true life awaits her where she will suffer no more.

    Our hearts are with you.

Thankfully she (and we) know exactly where she is going and what awaits... Eternal Glory
